We had breakfast at McDonalds while sitting in the car near a ball field watching some guys playing ball. After that we went to have a look at a monument at the entrance to CFB Petawawa.
We will keep the room until the military museum opens and take a tour there.
We did a tour of the military museum which was quite interesting.
We then headed for Renfrew and the Opeongo line. We stopped at a little place called Balaclava which is basically a ghost town now. It used to have a sawmill and grist mill.
We continued along the Opeongo Line and ended up staying at a motel called the Mountainview Inn. We backtracked to Wilno where we had dinner on the patio. The food was great but it was chilly out there. The place was sold out inside because they’re having live music tonight.
Then it was back to the drab little motel for the night.
