Shower Reno Project

We already have the new vanity and top as well as the faucet, so today we began looking at other things we need. Jane found that Wayfair was having a July 1st sale, so we ordered a new shower head combo, a niche shelf, a medicine cabinet/mirror, a toilet paper holder, and a vanity light fixture.

We are still in the process of finalizing quotes but are down to two possible bidders.

Soon we will have to visit Tilemaster to select the wall tile and grout that will be compatible with the vanity top.

The sliding shower doors and vinyl clicker tiles we’ll get from Rona+.

We also learned that the Government of Canada has a program to help offset the cost of making things for seniors more accessible and safe. It’s called the Home Accessibility Tac Credit and it allows you claim up to $20,000 for renovations on your income tax which could result in a credit up to $3000.00 towards your income tax.

We will be taking advantage of that by making sure we keep receipts from contractors.
