Downspout

The downspout on the front of the house has been plugged with debris for awhile. Today, when I had a close look at it, I found that both the downspout and the underground drain pipe were tightly clogged with rootbound soil and leaves.

So I dismantled everything and purchased a diverter from Rona.

I reassembled everything and I am satisfied this will prevent soil from being washed into the sidewalk.

After that, I dug out some ground cover to make room for some bright flowers.

Finished off chores by cleaning the waterfall and installing a screen.
