Last week Jane met her friend, Annemarie, for lunch to commemorate their 70th birthdays and their decades long friendship.
After their lunch, Annemarie gave Jane a special gift. It was a birdhouse replica of Jane’s Georgian Bay cottage on Whalen’s Island, just north of Honey Harbour.
Needless to say, Jane was touched by the thoughtfulness of her friend.
Today I fastened it to our large maple tree in our backyard. It looks pretty good.
