Later today we will be taking a trip up to Penetang to visit with Jane’s cousin, Helen.
She has a lot of family history and every time we go there, she answers a lot of Jane’s ancestry questions.
Jane also wants to show her this sketch of Elizabeth Whelan who bought Whelan’s Island in the early 1900’s and founded Whelan’s Resort.
This sketch was done by Scott Gray, a former correctional colleague and talented artist, that Jane commissioned to do the picture.
