I have one string of lights that isn’t working and after checking it over, I found that one of the wires got cut somehow. So this afternoon, I spliced it back together and it’s working fine right now.
In the meantime though, Jane had listed an old monitor on FB Marketplace and had a buyer lined up. I decided to check that it was in working order and there was some problem with a connection.
In the process of doing that, my laptop got powered off in the middle of an update and then froze.
I couldn’t get the monitor working, so when the buyer showed up, I ended up just giving it to him for free, saying he can have it and if he can’t get it going, just dispose of it.
I think this kind of stuff is referred to as Murphy’s Law.
