We left Rockland after breakfast and headed to Arnprior, about an hour and ten minutes away. I wanted to drop by to see an old Temiscaming friend, Pat Kavanaugh.
Pat and his wife, Lynda, moved from Nova Scotia a couple of years ago to be closer to their grandchildren and daughter.
We had a great, albeit brief, visit and reminisced about old friends and our times in Temiscaming.
It was another four and a half hour drive to get back to Barrie and when we arrived and unloaded main stuff out of the car, we treated ourselves to scrambled eggs and toast which was delicious.
After a month of sleeping in different beds, it’s going to be nice to be back in our own bed tonight.
Good to be home.
