We checked out of the Fortress Inn and headed off for New Glasgow. On the way we stopped at a little place called St. Peter’s where we check out a lock system between Bras d’Or lake and the Northumberland Strait. It’s a unique system in that there are two sets of lock gates to allow for the tides.

We checked out downtown New Glasgow and then went to a provincial park near the B and B called Sandstone. It’s owned and operated by Beverly and Dick Webster.

After getting settled there, we went to Stellarton to grab a pizza and try Donair sauce, both of which were delicious.
On the way back to the B & B a doe and fawn dashed out from the side of the road a mere 30 feet in front of us.
Another fantastic day in our East Coast Adventure.
