Today Jane and I spent part of the morning getting ready for winter by putting our glider chairs away in the shed and taking the garden hose off and putting it in the garage. We also hung our Halloween flags outside.
We covered the climbing rose with burlap and raked up leaves once again.
Many of the leaves are raked into the flowerbeds to provide insulation and a safe place for insect critters as recommended by Master Gardeners of Ontario; My Jane trusts their advice and refers to them regularly.
