Right after breakfast we eagerly headed off to Sara and Steve’s to have a social distanced visit with Roxana! Steve proudly met us in the back yard and she was beautifully sleeping when we arrived. I could see that Jane wanted to rush over and pick her up!
It was so nice to watch both Sara and Steve with Roxana; Steve is so anxious to hold her, watch her and Sara is glad to have a bit of a break; they seem to have a good system going already.
We had a wonderful and the time flew! We dug in to our picnic lunch, which we had brought with us, in the back yard. The Pickerings had a picnic!
Sadly before we knew it, it was time to leave our new parents and beautiful granddaughter and head over to see Mighty Max!
Chris had assembled the Rain Showers Splash Pond that we had purchased for Max’s birthday and it was a lot of fun watching him play with it for the first time. Clearly he enjoyed it. See him on his tippy toes!! He was looking so grown up with his hat!
We had brought our chairs along and we enjoyed watching him play endlessly in the water; Tonya gave us a cold drink and the time passed so fast. Soon, it was time for Max to have a nap so we sadly said our goodbyes and returned home.
It was a wonderful day with great weather and being able visit outside was a treat. We talked about each moment on the way home, reliving the day.
