When we decided to re-decorate the main floor spare room, we had a number of paintings and plaques for which we had to find a new place.
One of my favourites is a print done by Johan Boots that I purchased many years ago at the Buckhorn, Ontario Art show. It’s called Ready or Not and reminds me of the Norman Rockwell style wherein nearly all of his paintings told a story.

If you look closely, you can see the toddler’s older brother hiding under the steps and gesturing to her “shhhh”.
Quite charming, I think.
