I have been reading up on doing book narration at home and what equipment should be used. My take is, that to do a good job, you should try to use quality equipment. To that end I got a pretty good microphone from Best Buy and a Mic holder from Amazon. Headphones I got at Walmart.
I have spent the last few days playing around with an App called Audacity. This is used to record audio tracks for my latest project which is to make my first book, If The Walls Could Talk, into an audible version. Seeing that this book is a recounting of some of my experiences from my Correctional days, I felt I should do the narration.
From what I’ve read, Audible Books are becoming much more popular than print books or e-books.
We’ll see.
