I was a little puzzled this morning when I put our garbage bins out for regular pick up. When I looked up and down our street, I noticed that about half the houses didn’t have anything out in front if their places.
Curious, I returned inside to double check the City of Barrie recycling calendar and it confirmed that today was, in fact, garbage pick up for our area.
It was only after visiting the City’s website that I saw a notice advising because of weather, the pick up days were advanced a day.
Of course, my across-the-street neighbour was on top of things and knew not to put his garbage out. He was probably looking out his window, still in his pyjamas, snickering to himself while he watched me doing all that work in the cold and all for naught. Lol.
And he probably laughed out loud when he saw me drag it all back into the garage this afternoon. Lol.
