Today, I did some more shovelling of the driveway and front entrance walk. Using my round mouthed shovel worked very well for breaking up the layers of ice. I am now hoping that, with milder temperatures today (+9 C), most of it will melt and that will be the end of it.
In the meantime, taking my friend Jim Burd’s suggestion, I shovelled out the doorway to the garden shed and accessed a supply of bird seed to replenish the bird feeders which had been cleaned out by my feathered friends.
Later, I had a great phone conversation with my brother, Jerry. We reminisced about Temiscaming things and, more specifically, things that happened up at White Lake.
