Canada Day

Last evening, Chris, Tonya and Maria arrived after an unusually smooth drive up from Toronto. Normally, it’s a traffic nightmare, especially on the eve of a long weekend like this Canada Day.

Shortly after, Steven and Sara pulled in the driveway too.
They stayed overnight at our place so we got to have a really nice visit with all of them. We sat out on the patio enjoying the warm weather and having a libation or two, then went down to the family room to continue our conversations and relax.
Today, they are all headed up to Blue Mountain in Collingwood to do some Treetop Trekking, suspended bridge walking and Ziplining. It sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun for all of them.

Maria brought some temporary Canada 100% tattoos which all of us put on.

MY Jane and I have nothing special planned for this Canada Day other than going down near the lake to watch the fireworks display scheduled for around 10PM.
