Helping at a Charity Golf Tourney

Yesterday, MY Jane and I left Steve’s place and went to help our friends, Jim and Annemarie, at a charity golf tournament held at Eagle Ridge Golf course near Georgetown. This was a Knights of Columbus event and Jim was the organizer for the fifth year in a row.

It was great weather-wise and Jane and I were stationed at the sixth tee where we sold cards (they wrote their name on them) for a draw to held later at the dinner).  We took in over $500.
We had a pretty good set up because, where we were, we could watch the golfers drive and then see where their ball landed. It was a par 3 hole.
Afterward there was a dinner which we did not stay for but looked pretty good.
The most fun for me was getting to drive a golf cart all over the course, something I had never done before. We got home about 7:30, tired but happy!
