Yesterday MY Jane and I headed off to Kingston for a little get away trip
On the way we stopped to see Diana Plousos. a boating friend of mine who used to do a lot of camping up on Beausoleil Island. She and Jane had become Facebook friends and wanted to meet each other in person.
Diana gave us a tour of her garden and we had a great visit.
We then stopped at a waterside park and had a picnic lunch that Jane had packed.
From there we headed for Picton and stopped for a coffee on the main street there. Then we went up to the Lake on the Mountain. Spectacular view.
After spending some time there, we drove a short distance to the Glenora Ferry and headed off to Kingston where Jane had reserved a room at the Rosemont Inn, a Bed and Breakfast place.
Its a beautiful period structure with eleven ensuite bedrooms and, Holly, the owner for the past 27 years recommended that we go to nearby Montes for some live jazz which we did.
We capped the day off with a nice dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant.
