It was a good day for our plants yesterday. We had an all day rain that soaked them very well. Despite that, Minnie was in and out several times. She kept us busy opening the door for her. But, on one occasion, while MY Jane and I were watching a movie, we forgot she was outside. Needless to say, she was pretty wet and pretty unhappy when Jane realized she was still out and let her back in.
She very quickly headed for our bed where she curled up and dozed off for the next few hours.
After dinner (Meatball Marsala), we went down to the Family Room to watch Game 7 of the Playoffs between The Ottawa Senators and Pittsburg Penguins. It was a tight end to end game,with great goaltending on both sides, leading to overtime, where Pittsburg finally won 3-2. Disappointing, but a great effort by Ottawa nonetheless.
We had opened the Family Room window so Minnie could come and go without us having to get up and down for her. We lost track of her, she was in and out so much. It was still raining. Both Jane and I looked for her all over the house. We wanted to close Minnie’s window for the night, but we didn’t want her locked out.
We checked all of her favourite sleep spots. Our bed, the sofa in the sitting room, the rocking chair, the office chair, the sectional, the dining room rug. We checked everywhere. No Minnie to be found. We even checked the front door outside thinking she may have gone from the backyard to the front. Nope.
It was on our second round of searching that I finally spotted her, watching both of us with curiosity. She had a new spot. On a dining room chair underneath the dining room table completely out of sight!
