Today, we celebrate International Women’s Day. In my view, though, we should celebrate women’s day every day.
When I reflect on my own life, I realize just how much of a positive impact my mother had on me when I was growing up. And throughout my career in Corrections, the women working alongside me in that harsh environment, brought a means to temper that harshness.
And every day, I appreciate the positive influence my wife, MY Jane, has on me and I am grateful for how complete and satisfying my life is with her at my side.
Later today we will attend a flag raising and march at Barrie City Hall to recognize this very special day.
