Yesterday, MY Jane and I went to The Area Rug Shop, here in Barrie, to have a runner shortened and to buy an area rug for our bedroom.
While at that store, I broke the car key from the fob but fortunately had a spare concealed on the car. Because the ignition key is one of those that has a security chip coded to the car for increased security, you cannot simply get a key cut like we used to do.
No…you have to get the dealership involved and the total cost is around $300. If ever there was a rip off, this is one of them.
Then, later in the evening I attended at Barrie City Hall where I act as volunteer Chairman of the Business Licence Appeals Committee for the City of Barrie.
We heard the appeal of a City decision to deny a tow truck driver a licence renewal. The appeal was denied by our Committee.
