Today we decided to set up the Nativity Scene in the usual spot, that being the niche in the sitting room. This used to be a closet but, very early on, we knew we would never use the closet so we came up with the idea of a niche.
Jane changes it up from time to time during the year but this is the way it began today, with Minñie providing very stringent quality control.
Once we had the felt sky tacked in place, we placed the Nativity scene inside. It was made by Steven several years ago out of cedar, including cedar bark for the roof.
He even put a little light in it so it is gently illuminated at night.
After we get our Christmas trees next week, we’ll use pine boughs to finish off the display.
