I have written about Petey the Squirrel before. He continues to show up at the back door pretty much every day now, looking for peanuts in the shell.
He and Minñie get along in the sense that they ignore each other. Petey is unafraid and will come within a foot or so of Minñie, who usually just slowly turns her head in utter disdain.
We have been trying to coax Petey into taking a peanut right from our hand, but he’s just a bit too cautious to do that right now.
That’s Jane kneeling at the back door trying to tempt him, to no avail this time.
We’ll keep trying.
