Several years ago there was an article in the Toronto Star related to recycling. The gist of it was that, once the trucks were full, they travelled to a landfill in Michigan for unloading. Turns out that all that recycling was for nought because the recyclables and regular trash all got mixed together at the landfill. What a waste! ( excuse the pun).
Since then, it seemed that mixing recyclables with regular garbage was corrected much to the pleasure of the environmentalists.
Well, not so fast. It seems there been another recent development in this issue.
In today’s Star Touch we have another story about waste being all mixed together. By the private sector collecting company no less. And it’s caught on video.
