Making Decisions

Long ago I learned that there are two consistent factors that will affect decisions you make. They are Time and Circumstance. When you think back to some previous major decisions you have made, I bet you’ll find that those two things played an important part in what you finally decided.

And some of those decisions you made way back when, you probably wouldn’t make today. That’s because the time and circumstance has changed. It doesn’t necessarily mean you made a bad decision. It might have a lot to do with what information or lack of information you had at the time. I can think of dozens of decisions I made when I was young that I certainly wouldn’t make now.
But all those choices I have made before have shaped who I am today.
I think that the only thing worse than making a wrong decision (mistake) is making the same wrong decision twice. And in most cases, certainly in the business world, a wrong decision can be corrected by simply making another decision to make it right.
Have you ever made a decision you wished you hadn’t?
