Honey Harbour

Yesterday, at the urging of MY Jane, I telephoned my across-the-street neighbour, Allan, to ask him if he would like to go with me to Honey Harbour for a dinghy ride. Within a very short time, Allan called back to say he would be happy to go.

In less than a half an hour we were ready. We went in his red Saab convertible, a beautiful car that rides like a dream.
It only took about 50 minutes to get to Brandys Marina where we keep our dinghy we call Shenanigans and within minutes we had the tonneau cover removed and we were off.
I took Allan on somewhat of a circular route, first going through Big Dog Channell to show him some of the cottages in the area. One like this would sell in the neighbourhood of $300,000.
I showed him the camp site that he and I will be using when we go on our camping trip in about a week. It’s the same place that Jane and I used at a few weeks ago….called The Oaks, a Parks Canada maintained location and part of Georgian Bay Islands National Park on Beausoleil Island.
We’ll be going for three days probably.
We beached the dinghy at the camp site and disembarked to have a look around. It wasn’t too long before Alłan decided he was going in for a swim.

I should have brought my bathing suit too!

We returned to the marina via Little Dog Channel, then home.
A very pleasant outing, indeed!
