Barrie Waterfront

Yesterday, MY Jane and I went to the Bayfield Loblaws to buy some topsoil that they had on sale. On the way, we stopped off at Walmart and bought a canning pot and some jar tongs. We are going to make some raspberry jam.

On the way home, we stopped off at the Barrie waterfront to sip on our Timmys coffee and take in the scenery.

We had a couple of folding chairs in the car, so we just plunked ourselves down under a shady tree for awhile.

After we got home, Jane planted some of the perennial flowers that we had purchased the day before. By then, it was pretty hot and, although she got most of the back yard planting done, there are more for the front yard. We’ll do them today. We stayed inside for the rest of the afternoon.
After all that heat, I suggested we go out for dinner, so we ended up at the Mandarin which is not too far from the house. Of course, in Barrie, nothing is too far from the house.
Had a great dinner.
I found my fortune cookie interesting:
Later in the evening, Steve called us to say that he had found another apartment in the Beach area and he will be moving in September.
