Finally! Now that the nesting season is over for the grackles, (those black birds with shiny neck feathers) the smaller birds like finches, chickadees, cardinals and goldfinches have returned to our feeder.
The grackles would bully all the other little birds off the feeder and they soon quit coming altogether.
It was so annoying.
But now the little ones are back and it’s so nice to watch them flit about without being disturbed.
