Garden Flags & Downtown Barrie

Yesterday, MY Jane put up some of our new garden flags in the front and back yards. Of course, Minnie was on hand to oversee everything.

It’s nice to have these little garden flags so when a spot, bare of colour appears, we can simply move one of the flags to fill in the void. Notice the lillies in full bloom in the lower left of the collage. My favourite flower.
Both Jane and I are very happy with the progress we have made with the flower beds. And when the lawn is freshly cut, it looks even better.
In the afternoon, we picked Ted up and all of us took a stroll along Dunlop Street, the downtown section of Barrie. It was a nice summery day with sun shining brightly and a gentle breeze wafting up from Kempenfelt Bay.
The ladies found a little fashion store and each bought a blouse for themselves.
Earlier, I had put three camping chairs in the car along with a cooler bag, some ice and a bottle of wine and a couple cans of coke for me. We went to the lake side where there was a wading pool for kids and well tended City flower beds. Ted had also bought some cheese and snacks at a nearby deli.
We plunked ourselves down under a shady oak tree and drank in the scenery and beverages while watching boats, paddle boarders and sea doos.

Afterward, we took Ted grocery shopping and she then treated us to dinner at East Side Marios. Anôther great day!
