Flag For 50 Year Camp Commemoration

Yesterday, MY Jane and I went to a place called The Flag Store here in Barrie to  enquire about a custom flag for the 50th year commemoration of the “camp” on Lake Temiskaming. Here’s a link to their website:

This is the Camp commemoration flag that I am having made:
We were looked after by Linda Palmateer, an attentive and enthusiastic lady who was very helpful. Linda’s brother is none other than Mike Palmateer, who used to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Barrie location is the factory where they make all the flags and when I asked Linda if Jane and I could have a little tour, she was more than happy to oblige.
We also wanted to get some more garden flags so we went to the other Flag Store location in Thornton where we bought several.
On the weekend of August 16 (Dad’s birthday) we will be going up to the cottage along with many other family, friends and relatives for a weekend to celebrate the construction of the camp 50 years ago.
Mom & Dad would be happy to see us all together up there. It’s going to be a blast.
