With the encouragement of MY Jane, I find myself back to woodworking full tilt. It’s time to make things easier for myself. Time to work smart instead of hard. That’s why I’ve decided to make a mobile combination table saw/router work station similar to the one depicted in the lower picture.
My router table is different but I will be able to adapt the concept below quite easily.
The drawers and space beneath will allow for storage of saw blades and router bits. It will be nice to have a place for everything so handy. It will also be a place for the portable router and dremmel that I have. Having it on wheels will allow me to move it into the middle of the garage when I have large pieces to cut or long pieces to rip. When not in use, I can roll it up against the garage wall so the car can be parked inside.
Today I will finalize plan measurements and compose a material/cut list so I can go to Lowes tomorrow to get wood for this project. I always have to get plywood sheets cut because my Kia Rondo is not wide enough for 4 x 8 sheets of anything. Might as well get them to cut to a width I can use so I can get it into the Rondo.
Of course, I will be using my Kreg Jig for construction.
