Yesterday, while I was busy working on the bookcase project, MY Jane was getting the Family Room ready for painting. She has taken down all the vertical blinds, which she didn’t like, and will replace them with Roman Blinds, which she says will be warmer looking.
In addition, she has filled all the holes in the window casings and those that were in the drywall from screwnails that were no longer being used to hang pictures.
Once I finish the bookcase project, which will be in the next couple days, I’ll help her with the painting. I’m going to have to take down the TV and the shelf beneath the TV so she can get at it and the two of us will have to move the sofa and buffet away from the wall.
I think my next woodworking  project will be to make a wooden mantle for our fireplace – something a bit wider than the concrete one that’s there now. I’ll just encase the existing one somehow.
Onward!
