Saving Money

Yesterday afternoon, MY Jane and I did a little grocery shopping in preparation for the upcoming week. We had a list of about 7 or 8 items. Jane and I play this little guessing game of how many shopping bags we should take in with us.

If we go by the the items on our list, it’s easy to figure out. Jane guessed we should take in one bag. Instead, I took in four. As it turned out we only needed two. “How does that happen?”, you ask. Well, you see, Jane has a very interesting approach on how to save money. We buy things that are on sale even if we don’t need them. That’s why I always take in more bags than the number of items on the list would indicate. The amount of money that Jane has “saved” is staggering, according to her. Mind you, it’s not in my wallet or our bank account, but I am assured by her that she has saved us a lot. She tells my that in such a convincing manner, it’s hard not to believe her.

Chris arrived around 7PM last night loaded down with gifts and skates and winter clothing. He is planning on doing some skating and outdoor stuff while he’s here. Needless to say, Jane and I were very happy to see him. We can’t wait for the rest of the gang to get here, too. We always have a lot of fun together.
Not much snow yet, as is shown below.
