Yesterday, MY Jane and I dropped over to Ted’s to bring her some of the delicious lemon squares that Jane had made the day before. After that, we went to Chapters Bookstore to browse and look for gift ideas. We did well. Jane got a few things for Christmas and I picked up a couple of hockey books for a couple of neighbour kids.
We did a little grocery shopping at Zehrs on our way home and when we got there, I cleared the patio of snow as I had a craving for a Bbq hamburger.
By the time 5:30 pm rolled around, a full scale blizzard had developed. Not to be deterred, I brushed the snow off the BBQ and fired it up. It took a little bit to get the temperature up, but finally it was hot enough. The hamburgers, though not the best I’ve had, satisfied my craving.
This morning, looking out the kitchen window, the sun is shining brightly and snow is sparkling. The front driveway has been ploughed and we are ready for another day!
