Bird Feeder

Yesterday, my cousin, George, bought MY Jane and I a platform bird feeder, something I had been wanting for awhile.

We already have a cylinder style feeder that attracts smaller birds. It’s one that is weight sensitive to squirrels so that can’t get all the bird seed.

But we want to attract blue jays and this platform feeder will be great. Peanuts in the shell are very good for blue jays, so that’s the plan.
I also have to install a squirrel baffle which looks like a length of stovepipe with a cap.

In fact, I am going to see if I can make one from stovepipe which George is going to try to find up at his cottage on Lake Temiskaming.
This morning, Jane and I will be heading to Bradford to do some wine bottling. We purchased a Groupon Deal for $56 about a month and half ago which will yield 26 bottles of Pinot Grigio wine. Chris and Tonya had already done this sometime ago and the wine was quite good according to my resident wine taster. We shall see.
