Tweaking the Bathroom decor

Yesterday, our plan was to take drive to Collingwood just for something to do. Well, Mother Nature decided to dump a whole bunch of snow on us here in Barrie, so we cancelled that idea. No sense in travelling on snowy highways if you don’t have to.

So, instead, we decided to tweak the bathroom decor a little bit. I bought some crown moulding of a type I had never used before at Lowes. It’s actually made of polystyrene foam instead of wood or MDF board. This stuff is fantastic. It cuts cleanly and is very light. It can be fastened with adhesive instead of nails if you want. And it looks pretty nice. $11 for an 8 foot length.
Jane also wanted to add some depth to the space, so she bought some wall art at Lowes as well ($28) and cut the designs into manageable pieces and strategically placed them on the wall that you see as you first walk in. Notice how the pieces on the medicine cabinet and below flow together. We’re quite pleased. A $75 job.
