Random thoughts

It’s about -18 this morning. I have coffee on the go and I am sitting at my favourite morning spot in the house, at the kitchen window. The quinzee snow fort that Steven, Chris, and Tonya built in February is still standing. From time to time, Minnie will venture in there to explore briefly but she doesn’t like the cold and it’s not for long.

We received some sad news yesterday. The father of one of Stevens very good friends passed away in palliative care. Barry Pearce was a former neighbour of Jane’s in Guildwood. Funeral and visitation details are not known by us right now and depending on those details will determine whether we can have Jane’s birthday celebration tomorrow as planned. Both Steven and Jane want to support the family. Hopefully we will know sometime today. As I have said to Jane many times, we plan the best we can and if circumstances change, we change the plan. Such is life. Eventually we will celebrate a special day for a special lady!
Yesterday I had an appointment with my doctor. I had requested it just to have a review of my blood sugar levels. I was within the normal range i.e. 5.7, my cholesterol is good and so is my blood pressure. So it’s all good.
